Suqaar Express

Suqaar was my first time trying East African food. I tried both the beef and chicken plates. The serving size is very good for the price. The meals were very good. A great mix of salad, rice, and protein. This is a family owned food truck and I absolutely loved it. If you're in the area I would recommend checking this place out.

This is for the review at MCA on Friday. The line was long but the wait was not bad and only 15 mins total. I had better Somali food and this was just ok. Owner is very friendly and everything Halal.

This halal food truck is on a completely different level. From the moment you smell the grill, you already know you’re about to eat something special. The meat is perfectly seasoned, insanely juicy, and cooked just right — not dry, not greasy, just pure flavor in every bite. The rice is fluffy and rich, the salad is fresh and crisp, and the sauces… wow. That white sauce is creamy perfection and the hot sauce has the perfect kick without overpowering the food. Every ingredient tastes fresh and made with care. Portion sizes are generous, prices are fair, and the staff is respectful, welcoming, and clearly takes pride in what they serve. You can tell this food is prepared with intention and integrity — true halal done right. I’ve eaten halal food all over, and this truck is easily top-tier

I was in the mood for some East African food and decided to give this place shot. Probably one of the best rice and beef dish I’ve ever had in the Bay Area. The wraps were amazing as well. I ended up buying more dishes to take home. Highly recommend and definitely will return. The owner was super nice as well. Gave us delicious tea and my 2 year old son snacks as we waited for our food.
