Sunshine Pancake House

I love supporting local family owned restaurants "off the beaten path" and Sunshine Pancake House did not disappoint! We popped in for breakfast while in the area. We were greeted with a 'hello' the minute we walked in the door and seated right away, which surprised us because the parking lot was so full we had to park down the street. Definitely not a deal breaker for us. Our server was pleasant and took our order right away. Our meal arrived quickly and it was hot. Hubby ordered the 'basic' bacon/egg/potato breakfast and I ordered a veggie omelet/toast/and potatoes. REAL potatoes were served, not the frozen, dry, disgusting squares that practically every breakfast restaurant in Horry county now serves. Trust me, they were DELICIOUS! It wasn't bad, but the food wasn't good either. I was waiting on family at the hosp and popped in for breakfast. It's a ole greezy spoon. It was busy, so the locals love this place. There is something to be said for that. It was cheap also, about $10 with coffee.

What a surprise gem, great food We both ordered the French toast special, great value, fast food delivery, toast was delicious not overcooked, or to dry, excellent ratio of spices. eggs cooked perfect on our overeasy request. reasonable pricing all menu, only regret just passing thru by necessity. would deffinately eat there again otherwise

Wonderful food and service. The old time grandmothers cooking feel set a great example of how a breakfast spot should feel.

Great food and service! Hamburger steak with onions and gravy is on point. Vegetables are seasoned and delicious. Corn bread is good also.
