Heard about a Romanian restaurant and celebrated my birthday there last night. Our table of four ordered the stuffed cabbage, polenta, chicken schnitzel, and a pork schnitzel sandwich. Everyone enjoyed the food, sharing tastes including two orders of placenta (cheese & spinach). The sarmale, mamaliga and placenta brought back wonderful childhood memories. The schnitzels were cooked to a perfect crispness. This was a memorable birthday celebration, we’ll be back.

Loved this place! Went there with my Romanian friend to check it out. I was extremely pleased with how everything tasted and so was he. We tried the bean soup, eggplants spread (salad), mitzch, cabbage rolls, chicken salad, and the pork loin sausage. Don't remember all the names of the delicious food but I will remember the flavors. So tasty! Surprisingly accessible to a Midwest palette like mine.

As a native Romanian, the food was very authentic and delivious, especially the stuffed bell pepper. The owner snd his wife and very curteous and welcoming. The atmosphere is also quite authentic inside. Perfect option if you're looking for an authentic Romanian food experience

Space is like a diner in a run down strip mall, but it works for this restaurant. We were excited to try something new and unique but the overall experience was meh! The space seemed authentic enough. There were a couple of other tables occupied and we were the only ones that didn’t speak the same language as the owner/chef. This actually added to the disappointment of the food. For 3 adults and a child, we paid about 135 bucks with tip. The food was carb heavy with minimal protein. The only thing we enjoyed was the eggplant salad. Presentation was good though. I don’t know if the food was authentic but wasn’t a winner for me.

I recently visited Sunset Bistro and I had the halal gyro plate, it was amazing everything tasted so flavorful. The fries had the perfect crisp and the gyro meat was tender and well seasoned. Definitely would recommend
