Sundance Villa in the Driftless

My daughter and I went to a Sundance retreat with three other mother daughter duos. What a special weekend to connect as moms and spend a weekend with our teen girls that we will always remember. Jodi and her daughter, Ana, led the retreat and they have created a magical place. You can tell the instant you pull up to the house and the moment they greet you that they truly care, and pour their heart and soul into every detail. Even now, 2 weeks later, I find myself going back to Sundance in my mind and just reflecting on all the wonderful moments with my daughter and friends, the special touches and wisdom about health and longevity Jodi shared as a physician, and truly just the feeling of safety, peace, slowing down, & connecting to myself and others. Truly, a wonderful experience! To begin with, the house is beautiful!! Then Ana, Jodi and Sally are special hosts! We experienced hot stone therapy, yoga in the yard, a fire ceremony, cooking class, a trip to Driftless Chocolates and Botham Vineyards. The food prepared comes from old family recipes with a French twist! There is a very special room in the basement that is sooo cozy! The day ends with a fun water color painting taught by a local artist. The laughter and bonds created will make fond memories for years.

A beautiful weekend. Our experience at Sundance Villa was exceptional. Jodi and AnA went to great lengths to assure our experiences were flawless. It seemed like every aspect of every event we participated in was anticipated. We were pampered, educated and entertained. We learned so much about nutrition, women’s health, longevity and what a gift we can be to each other. We kept finding ourselves asking “where did you find this?” all weekend long. We came here knowing we would have a fun weekend, but we left feeling totally pampered, inspired, empowered and challenged by the positive outcomes that we experienced all weekend long. Spent the weekend at this beautiful home with beauty surroundings. Jodie, AnaCapri and Sally truly made this a wellness retreat. The retreat started with a welcoming tea and ended with a special art project. In between we experienced hot stones, sound therapy, special cooking experiences, Yule log burning, yoga (great job Patti), mocktails, trip to Driftless Chocolates, Botham Vineyards and more. Each experience was accompanied by education relating that experience with wellness. All of this plus an amazing group of women made this an experience I will not soon forget. My mom and I had such a wonderful time at their weekend retreat! My favorite bits were the tea ceremony, hot stone massage with sound bath, and picking fresh peaches on the villa’s property. I love that there was something for everyone to enjoy and try. Each person could find important things to take back home in tools and knowledge of mental and physical wellbeing. The staff are wonderful; very kind and accommodating. They truly make you feel at home and the atmosphere is so calming. I can’t wait to tell my friends about the experience!
