Sun Island Plate

I ordered on DoorDash and was disappointed. The pasta was very hard, and the jerk chicken was dry. The pasta was also very dry no sauce or gravy, just big and stiff pieces. Sigh, it wasn’t enjoyable at all and couldn’t get to have my meal . Had to throw it out ! Ugh 😩

They get 3 stars because the staff is nice, they give large portions, and they are open 24/7 but the food lacks a little flavor it taste a little bit like cafeteria food or either its a young person cooking the jamaican food. My complaint is mostly with the curry chicken. The chicken was better. Also the price is a little too high but overall not bad. I will definitely return!

From the moment I walked in — at 3 AM, no less — I knew this place was special. The warm aroma of jerk seasoning and simmering oxtail immediately transported me back to the island. Even though it’s open around the clock, the kitchen clearly never sleeps. Every dish was outstanding. The jerk chicken was smoky, spicy, and juicy — perfectly balanced. The oxtail melted in my mouth and the sauce was rich without being overpowering. Sides like rice and peas, fried plantains, steamed cabbage — each one was done with care. I also tried the curry goat and it was a highlight; tender, flavorful, and authentic. Despite being late, the staff greeted me with genuine smiles and treated me like family. They answered my questions about spice levels and offered recommendations. The vibe is casual but cozy —

Sucks services and people. They want from me wating 50 minutes just for preparing the order. Just don't be stupid increase timer or don't press button order is ready on the app . Plz 🙏 change your self and mentality , God create the brain Just use it . Uber driver. Service: 1/5

The food tastes so good and fresh every time I go. The jerk chicken and oxtail are full of flavor, and that sweet chili salmon is crazy good. The peas and rice and cabbage hit every time too. You definitely get your money’s worth because the portions are big and the prices are fair. The people working there are super nice and always make you feel welcome. One of the best Jamaican spots around for sure!
