Sun Island Bar-BQ & Jerk Supreme

The food here was AMAZING. We came across this restaurant and decided to try it out and I’m so happy we did. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun. The service was excellent. The drinks were delicious. And the food was incredible. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I had a great experience at Sun Island Bar-BQ & Jerk Supreme! The food was flavorful and fresh, but what really made my visit special was the excellent customer service. I want to give a special shoutout to a young lady named Melissa. She was very kind, professional, and attentive. She made sure my order was correct and made me feel welcomed from the moment I walked in. Her positive attitude and great energy truly stood out. It’s always nice to see someone who takes pride in their work and treats customers with care. Thank you, Praise, for the wonderful service! I’ll definitely be coming back.

Ordered here before and really enjoyed the food. Tried again today but this was a major disappointment. The oxtail is all bones and fat with a huge serving of rice. Not enough oxtail for the price in my opinion and the rice was not good. The chicken is overcooked to the point where I can’t eat it. Also overfilled with rice to justify the price which I can’t say was worth it. Mac and cheese and beef patty were great, no complaints there. I might give it another shot but it’s hard to stomach given I enjoyed the $10 sides but not the $50+ meal. Staff was nice enough but can’t justify being this upset after paying for $60 meal.

I really hate to write this review but... I'll never go back here again. I googled their name and sent into "THEIR WEBSITE" I was looking at the menu and clicked the order online button, I ordered oxtail tacos and a chicken (bone in) roti, 15 mintues later the restaurant called and we don't have tacos and only boneless chicken for the roti but I would have to cancel the order with "Toast" their online ordering server and reorder what I wanted. I called Toast but they couldn't cancel the order to refund me, only the resturant can confirm and cancel the order which makes sense. I called the resturant again was told to call the owner tomorrow. I could have called my cc company but anything under 50.00 they just give me my money back without disputing it but I didn't think it was fair f

They had a special displayed on a chalkboard at the entrance (curried lobster for $17.99). I ordered it and when I got the bill I was charged $30.00. The waitress then said the special wasn’t valid for that day. So why was it displayed? Quite a misleading and dishonest practice. Food overall was just ok. Disappointing meal. Not much flavor or seasoning generally. The fish (snapper) tasted fresh but the escovich was more sweet than spicy. The wings (honey jerk) were ok, but again not very spicy. Service was slow and bad. Disengaged waitress. Had to repeat every request. The restaurant decor is updated and pleasant. The food was much better when it was a buffet restaurant where they served food by weight. I spent over $150. They included gratuity in the check. I would have tipped less. I do
