Sumo Japanese Steakhouse

It was ok, a solid restaurant but nothing too spectacular. I can't say it's worth the money, there's better options out there that's more budget friendly. However you're paying more for the atmosphere and experience here as opposed to the food. Keep that in mind. But the food is adequate and delicious.

This was my first time eating from this restaurant. I was not happy. I did order curbside pickup. My food looked amazing. But it tasted horrible. No seasoning. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium and it was more medium rare. I had to cook the steak in a skillet on my stove just to finish cooking it and to add flavor. I paid $24 for that meal and it was not worth it for undercooked chewy ribeye steak. I also sautéed my veggies more to add flavor. There was no help for the fried rice. It was old. I asked for a salad and got a bowl of lettuce. I'm not sure if they was having a bad day or what but my food was not good. The togo server was polite. I didn't call the restaurant.

I’ve gotten take out from here a few times over the last few weeks. Pretty good. The parking lot always has tons of cars in it. I’m going to assume that this is one of the better of the many many many hibachi places in town. They are always busy. I’ve had the steak and scallops, and I’ve also gotten sushi rolls. It’s a solid place. If you can’t make up your mind, just pick this one.

Sumo always has friendly workers and fast service despite how busy they stay. The sushi is always delicious, we ordered the sampler appetizer which was the perfect amount of food before the sushi rolls came out. I think Sumo is the best Japanese restaurant in Jonesboro.

I was here on 11/26. Was in the area. Stopped for dinner. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Maybe it's just me being from the West Coast but they had fountain Mello Yello so that was a plus. The Jonesboro roll was definitely fire. If I'm in Jonesboro again, I will definitely stop by! Thanks! Edit: returned on 7/20. Food was just as good as it was back in November. Definitely will continue to return every time I'm in the area. Thanks again!
