Summit House

A great place to stop into while you're on the slopes. The food options are solid. I particularly liked the tandoori chicken sandwich. The prices are high, but not the worst that I've seen. Very convenient to a number of lifts on the mountain. The views are amazing and, if you need to rest for a bit, the Summit House is a great option.

The chili was delicious and hearty. I'm usually skeptical on any chili but my own but this dish was great. They served it with all the fixins and had fritos to top it with. The lodge was not too crowded and we were able to find seating easily, which isn't easy at most vail owned resorts. I will mention that the cashier/bartender tried to serve me a pilsner when I asked for a pale ale or IPA and didn't understand the concept of 12 oz vs 16 of beers. I wouls suggest some beverage/bartender training. But overall great experience on the mountain.

I liked the food especially for a ski resort restaurant. They had healthy choices and pizza, burgers and chili (a ski resort fav) located at the top of the Bonanza lift at 9250' altitude a great place to reenergize and take in the views.

Standard American food similar to other resorts owned by Vail company, such as Breckenridge and Vail mountain in Colorado. $15 will buy you a hamburger or other entree, don't expect to pay less than $15. Good place to grab some free water.

The food is not great. It does taste like high volume food. It is expensive too but that's okay. Fun place and the service is great.
