This place is such a vibe. A solid staple for whenever you're craving good food, good coffee and a no frills environment that makes you feel like you're dining in a time capsule from the 1960's and beyond. When you walk you're greeted by mirror paned walls speckled with random pieces of Philly nostalgia. Booths line one side while a counter lines the other and while the initial interpretation might leave you worried about having to wait, the place is quite spacious albeit narrow. Before even being seated, the waitress turned her head while walking us to the table and said, I'll get cha's wooder and coffee, k? Absolutely. Love it already. The menu is a mix blend of classics and imaginative spins. For our brunch we opted for "The Fishtown Scrapettizer" which is not your typical pork-ce
Just tried this place for the first time and loved our experience. The moment we walked in the servers let us know we could sit anywhere. Before I got my coat off we had waters, and fresh coffee at our table— amazing. And an extra touch, the server had a bag of toys for my ten month old, which kept her occupied the entire breakfast. Literally so sweet and made us feel welcomed instantly. Coffee was great, vibe was timeless old diner, menu had all the classics. We got the berries and cream French toast which looked stunning and tasted *chefs kiss*. Everything we ordered was delicious and came out within maybe 10 minutes of us ordering. The service was 100% what stood out. The two girls were so warm and kind and fun to talk to, and they were so sweet to my daughter (anyone who has brought th
I’ve been here before and loved it! This time not so much, it wasn’t busy when we arrived, the waitress seemed a little backed up— that’s okay! We got sat and she took a little to come over and took our whole order, I get it everyone gets side tracked sometimes! But she didn’t bring our drinks until the food came out. She didn’t check up and didn’t smile once. She wasn’t rude per se but didn’t seem like she wanted to be there. Our food came out and I had to send my food back because it was wrong, I asked for a side of biscuits and gravy and received a dry piece of bread with gravy the consistency of THICK gravy. I didn’t even touch it. I asked for my hash browns well done and they came out black to the point I could taste the char on them. My boyfriend went to use the salt and it was compl
The waitress was really kind and the place had a traditional old school diner feel. The hash browns and eggs were good, but the corn beef hash was lacking a little in flavor. Will be back!
100/10 for food and service! Always warmly welcomed by staff and they have BY FAR the best breakfast (especially scrapple) in the city!
