This was my first order, and I was very disappointed. The sushi did not taste fresh; the spicy tuna had a dirty water flavor. There was like no eel in the eel avocado roll, making it seem like just an avocado roll with some sauce. The shrimp tempura also lacked shrimp and flavor I'm unsure why this experience was so poor, and I probably won't try them again
My first time checking this place out. We ordered karaage and Hokkaido Bay scallops yakitori for appetizers. For entrees we got a katsu dinner bento, and an ocean roll and a sushi bullet. The appetizers were pretty good. The portion of the karaage was big. The chicken was tender, and the breading was light and crispy. The Hokkaido Bay scallops were nice and cooked nicely. It was a bit strange that they were served with Chinese chili oil, but it was actually not a bad combo. The entree was pretty good, too. The port katsu dinner bento came with a salad and a bowl of miso soup. The salad was a bit too simple. It only had some lettuce, and a few pieces of shredded carrots. The sauce was nice, but I felt like there was too much mayonnaise in it. The miso soup was very nice. It warmed my stom
We accidentally ended up on the wrong side of Manhattan thanks to weekend subway reroutes — the Q dropped us on 86th & 2nd when we were aiming for the Hayden Planetarium. We were starving, spotted Suki Ichiro, and decided to give it a try. Great decision. The restaurant is small, clean, and welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly — we ended up chatting about NYC, Atlanta, taxis vs. Uber, and everything in between. The food was fresh, flavorful, and honestly hit the spot after our unexpected train adventure. Five stars all around. If you’re in the area, this is a perfect little escape from the chaos outside.
Amazing food and atmosphere, we have dined here for a few years now. It's definitely worth the trip if your in NYC.
Unfortunately a bit of a miss for lunch takeout. It was a great price point but the fish didn’t feel super fresh. Some pieces were great like their tuna and salmon sashimi, but everything else that came in the lunch box didn’t taste quite right.
