Sugar Bakery

Took a morning bicycle ride to enjoy a morning wake up. Found this gem of a bakery and coffee spot. Service was spectacular. The baked goods are divine and the latte is delish. Gluten free as well. Bring cash so you don’t have to deal with the ATM fees. Loved the atmosphere and the deck chairs to sit and relax with a good book. Excellent place to start your morning!

*Cash Only - so unfortunately we didn’t get to try anything. ☹️ I understand they are a small business and maybe want to avoid processing fees but we don’t carry cash on vacation. They do have an atm on site so if you have a debit card you could still get something. The desserts looked great and the place was very pretty with great outdoor seating.

Had the good fortune of finding this bakery early in our week long stay in the Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park area. We were able to try almost everything over multiple visits. It was all exceptional. Blueberry pie, whoopie pies, the sweet or savory croissants, cinnamon rolls, donuts, cake slices, elephant ears, scones. Don't leave without a coffee to wash it all down. Robin has something very special going on at Sugar Bakery. Thanks again!

Coffee was great. Various choices for pastries and sweets. The Whoopie Pie was yummy as were the homemade cinnamon rolls. The Suagr Bakery provides the perfect stop for a quick breakfast or treat!

Awesome bakery with so many delicious choices, highly recommend! Cookies, pies, cupcakes all absolutely delicious!! Don't leave without trying their fabulous blueberry cheesecake! The Elephant ears are also a childhood favorite of mine, don't miss out!!
