Subway

I used to get food here everyday. Haven't been there in a yr or 2 because the service was terrible. Went today and stood in line behind 2 people and it took 20 minutes and still walked away with nothing. Ran outa time. Attention subway you're gona have to pay a bit more competitively to get decent employees then you can be more picky. Better employees means more customers. The 3 employees who were standing around were moving in slow motion. The McDonald's across the street was also terrible

I'm never pleased with this store. The store is bad about closing early,not all but a few employees always seem to be disgruntled. The sandwiches never taste that good. Have no idea why. It's a busy location, so freshness is not an issue. It's not very clean in the lobby. I'm not sure what the problem is. All i can say is that I never happy like i am at the one on hwy 158 and Celeste Road.

Update 04/21/25: Looks like a whole new team is working here now. They were short handed with two people, behind on online orders and trying to take care of the line at the same time during lunch rush. At one point, they were turning customers away because they ran out of receipt tape. The people waiting on their online orders were pretty much ignored. The Subway in Mt. Vernon is a locally owned establishment and it's in a rural location. The service is decent within regular business hours (8-5 M-F) when all the people from the surrounding plants get their food. I have not had any issues getting a sandwich to order.

The food and service is good when you can get it. Most of the time they close hours before actual closing time. It's crazy. Is it just the one where I live? Or are all subways like this?

On today I came in on lunch thinking I was going to get me a salad instead I ended up having a dispute with an employee who was rude and the manager sat rite there as the lady harassed me , she was rude soon as I walk through the door demanding I owe her money from last year so I pulled my recipes and she was wrong , as a establishment they all were unprofessional even the manager I told her they need a communication skills class because her private matters shouldn’t even have been discussed or even brought up I just think she was having a bad day but I wouldn’t recommend nobody eats there I will be speaking with corporate so they can pull tape. I didn’t even get to order my lunch due to the fact my appetite was ruined from the sicking embarrassment the employees caused in my face as oth
