Subway

Food was good. Phoned in my order so that I could swing in grab and go along the route. Got there to find out that phone orders get pushed aside until you arrive and have them make your food while you wait. That bummed me out but I'll eat there again.

The lunch crew was great to me. Five star customer service.

My hunger made me ignore how unkempt the sandwich making surface was initially. The sandwich was made by the young girl behind the counter while another sat at one of the customer booths. The time was about 7:00 in the evening and business was light. No discernable "manager" was noted in the store at the time. I found it odd the sandwich preparation area was so messy with so little business to interfere. The final straw was when the young girl making the sandwich picked up a used knife at the end of the prep area with the intent of cutting my foot long turkey/forest ham sandwich in half. I gave her curt instructions on how the knife was covered in some red sauce and that I wanted none of it on my sandwich. She'd already used it to fold the sandwich so some of the damage was done. Typical Subway experience. But since it's small town, I know the staff. They're always friendly, helpful, and competent.

They don't have a toaster oven to toast your food. Just a microwave oven
