Stony Hill Barn

Our family just finished our second visit to the Stony Hill Barn B&B and this stay was just as terrific as our first was in 2019. The accommodations are beautiful, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The hosts are kind and generous. Communication is prompt and helpful. I would highly recommend this property and location, especially for families with young children. It is centrally located and not far from the kid-friendly sights and activities of Lancaster County. It is also nicely situated for day trips to Philadelphia and Baltimore. We hope to have the opportunity to return again in the future!

On our family vacation to Lancaster County, we wanted to stay somewhere that will allow us to appreciate the local culture and scenery. We are so glad we chose to spend four nights at Stony Hill Barn. The barn is situated on a large property with a farm. Our family (4 adults and 2 young children) occupied the entire second floor of the barn (the first floor is used by the host's family), which has 2 large bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a complete kitchen, living room, and dining area. There's a cloth washer/dryer so we could get our laundry done during our stay. There's a lot of space to stretch out. The beds are all very comfortable. We recently stayed at The Stony Hill B & B which is 4 miles south of Strasburg, a charming town with several good boutiques, antique stores and cafes. It's in the heart of Amish country and easy, scenic drives to the local attractions. The B & B consists of two bedrooms with private baths, a living/dining area and full kitchen. It is above a new barn (actually a garage storage area) though there are ponies and goats in the pasture next to it. The apartment is immaculate, comfortable and charmingly decorated. Sara Stoltzfus provided delicious breakfasts including baked oatmeal with fresh peaches. We were very happy we chose this family friendly place.|

We have stayed around ten times. We love each setting and the accomodations. We find it a perfect place to enjoy Lancaster. It has two comfortable rooms, an amazing sunset, and a fire pit to roast marshmallows on. Spectacular!!

We stayed four wonderful nights with our children and what an amazing time we had. I had expected to accomodations to be nice, but found them to be even better than I had hoped. It was great being able to enjoy a quiet breakfast in the morning, to come back in the evening, relax stretch out, watch movie, and then send the children to their own room. The bedrooms were very large, very comfortable and very clean. ||||The children had plenty of room to run around, had the chance to enjoy all the animals, play some basketball and even got to make smores with the owners and their children. The owners are extremely friendly and thoroughly enjoyable to spend time with. ||||We found lots to do in surrounding area and are definitely planning a return visit which of course will include a stay
