Gorgeous house with cozy rooms! The Periwinkle room also has an amazing bathroom. The hosts were so kind and accommodating, the food they made was AMAZING, and they have 2 kitties who were absolutely lovely to be around. Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area for any reason! They gave us mugs after our first visit as well

This was our first time staying in a real bed and breakfast and wasn’t sure what to expect, but Paul and Bette were wonderful hosts. They had two beautiful indoor cats that were very friendly and affectionate. We stayed in the 1694 room and it was wonderful. I felt like it had everything you would need, a large shower, fireplace, couch, vanity/writing desk, dresser, tall mirror, tv, and a king sized bed. The breakfast Paul made each morning was delicious. They have chickens on the property so the eggs were fresh and amazing. You must try the scones. Overall, my wife and I were very please with everything and loved our visit. The next time we are in the area, I would definitely stay again.

Beautiful house with very welcoming innkeepers, Paul and Bette. Paul is an excellent chef, making very tasty and artfully presented breakfasts. The bedroom was rather large with private bath and shower. The bed was very comfortable. Paul and Bette are a delight and we could tell they very much enjoy being having people stay with them. As stated in a previous review, they do have two resident cats, Barnee and Tobee. Be aware if you have allergies to have an allergy med on board. Will stay again should the need arise.

The website of a conference at University of Connecticut that I attended in May, 2024, mentioned this as a place to stay among others. I stayed in the Zzz room here for a night. The hosts, Paul and Bette, are wonderful. Their two cats are very cute as well. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I had a great night's sleep. The outside is very beautiful--the porch has a fantastic view of trees and flowers (in the spring). The breakfast, prepared by Paul, was plentiful and fantastic. Paul served rye bread and scone baked by him. The house is more than 300 years old and listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The stay was very reasonably priced. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would gladly stay there if I go back that way.

We needed to go to Connecticut and it was so hard to find a place. Lo and behold we found this beauty. Couldn't imagine we would be able to stay there but everything worked out the way it was supposed to and there we were. From the time we drove up the driveway to the time we got to our room everything was so picturesque. Even the signage on the parking spaces is so personable. Our host and Hostess Paul and Bette were absolutely wonderful, not to mention they're adorable Two Kitties who welcomed us right from the get-go. We stayed in the king room and it was very lovely and comfortable a lot of Breeze through all the windows the fireplace mantle looked beautiful everything was lovely. Paul's breakfast was a delight.
