For my Spanglish Speakers: This is the Starbucks of Grand Amar I don’t just come to this Starbucks for the reliable caffeine fix (though my usual Pike Place is always perfect). I come for the feeling. It hit me one day while waiting at the cross streets of Grand & Amar. In the beautiful Spanglish that lives in our community and in my own heart, these streets whisper a mission statement: "Grand Amar" — To Love Greatly. And you know what? This store embodies it. It’s in the warm "Hi, welcome!" from the hustling baristas. It’s in the patient smile when I accidentally order a "grande" latte and my brain does a little poetic flip. Roxy the store manager is amazing. Such a kind individual. I spent my afternoon here to get some work done when a troublesome customer came in. I did not mean to listen in however I was alarmed when I heard the old lady ask the cashier what he did outside of work (in the context, it felt inappropriate to ask so I was alarmed), in which he responded he was a student. The old lady proceeded to say something that visibly upset the cashier and he respectfully excused himself from the situation and refused service. This was where Roxy stepped in and tried to de-escalate the situation by understanding what the customer was upset about. Unless you enjoy waiting 20-30 minutes for a single cup of coffee while questioning your life choices. This place somehow manages to turn making coffee into a slow-burn documentary. Orders take forever, and when they finally come out, there's a solid chance they're wrong anyway. It's like a mystery box -- you ordered one thing, but let's see what surprise you get. The whole operation feels like it's being run on vibes instead of urgency. Lots of movement, lots of noise, zero efficiency. I ordered a drink Mobile pick up for drive thru and went in to pick it u because my kids wanted a cookie I let the cashier know I order for drive though and wanted to add a cookie. I waited 15 min for them just to get the cookies ready so I did let another lady know that looked like a maneger that I saw my drinks on the drive thru counter she then gave me additued and said give me a second because im occupied. She then went over to the drive thru section and got my drink and my cookies that were already siting there for a while and with additued gave me my stuff and said we were waiting dor the cookies to come out. When she gave me my stuff she not only gave me additued but stood there with a mean look im guessing she was waiting for me to tell her something seem to me like she wanted so

I love coming to this Starbucks location for when I want to go outside and work. I work remotely and sometimes I want to be outside the house. This location has become my new favorite spot. The people come are mostly respectful. I was worried about the groups the students, but they respect of the shared area. I make sure to buy a drink every few hours to make sure support the staff. They are super friendly and I look forward to morning coffee. I am not a morning person.
