Star Point Resort

We've always enjoyed our stay here at Star Point no matter what time of year. Christmas this year is no exception. Nathan and the crew are courteous and professional but with a family type atmosphere. Highly recommend regardless if you need a campsite or a cabin/house. Bring your fishing, pontoon or houseboat if you have one :)

Star Point is located in the hills on the border between Kentucky and Tennessee on the banks of beautiful Dale Hollow Lake. I stayed there while competing in a BFL bass fishing tournament. It was the headquarters for the event. While it was a very busy place, it handled all of the truck and boat trailer traffic very well. It was quiet in the evenings. The sounds of the outdoors were all around. The grounds were clean and well-kept. My room was clean and well stocked with soap, towels, etc. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Given the location, wi-fi and cell phone service can be spotty at times, but it was not a major problem as I was not there to play on a computer or my phone. We stayed this past week for a High School fishing tournament on Dale Hollow and our visit was wonderful! We booked the Red Bud cabin and had an amazing stay! Beds were very comfortable, living room furniture was also comfortable. There is a FULL kitchen stocked with everything you would need to cook there instead of going out to dinner nightly. The grounds are very nice, and you also can reserve a dock if needed for a boat. During our stay which was Wednesday-Sunday even though we were in a cabin we had staff come by daily to change out linens, towels, toilet paper, remove trash etc. for us. Most places don't do this daily unless we are in a hotel room so that was amazing and unexpected. Check in was two hours early. Our cabin was spotless and cooled down to 72° on a 95° day. Beds were super comfy and the staff couldn’t have been any nicer and very helpful. We had to leave two days early and they didn’t charge us for the unused part of our reservation. They have definitely earned our business whenever we come back to Dale Hollow

I only drove up for the view of Dale Hollow Lake and to revisit happy memories of practically living on the lake my entire life. I live in Celina, just 4 miles from Dale Hollow Dam. I no longer have a boat... My favorite mode of travel. I highly recommend Star Point for it's quiet, remote location. It's also very family friendly.
