Star Asian Cafe Needville

During my visit to Star Asian Restaurant, one thing that really stood out was the large aquarium in the dining area. A big fish tank can be a great feature and add to the atmosphere when it’s properly maintained. Unfortunately, the tank currently appears to be in very poor condition. The water is very green and cloudy, there is visible algae buildup on the glass, and the gravel and decorations inside the tank look dirty. Because the aquarium is large and placed where customers can clearly see it, it unfortunately gives the impression that it has not been cleaned or maintained in quite some time. My husband stopped by here to grab some food, was ABSOLUTLY TERRIBLE! Noodles were super thick and slimy, might as well have ordered onions...was hardly any beef in our entree. NOT AT ALL WORTH THE MONEY WE SPENT. Couldn't even get full. So much money wasted. Best thing was the fortune cookie. WILL NEVER RETURN!

I love this place. The portions are great. I usually order to go. I have plenty of food for a second meal even a third at times. The owners are the friendliest. Good people good business.

PORTIONS... I recently visited Star Asian Cafe and was blown away by the quality of the food and the service. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and the staff is very friendly and attentive (Thank you Marina). I ordered the general TSO chicken and it was delicious. The rice was a good addition and the sauce was flavorful without being too spicy. I also tried the egg drop soup and it was fresh and delicious. I got the orange chicken. The restaurant should’ve use the plate with divider to separate the rice from the sauce because the sauce is making the rice soggy. The chicken is fresh and juicy but the sauce is too watery.
