St. Lucie County Morningside Branch Library

This is an AMAZING library! I attended music and play and was blown away at how organized and well planned the program ran. The staff were kind, friendly and patient with all the kids. I loved that they get all the kids involved in the activities together and the parents too! It really was so special to see all the parents who were present and involved in the class as much as the kids and I believe this solely happened because the instructors were so skilled in asking for help and encouraging which brought the energy to the entire class. LOVED the pre assembled bags that is used for the class. And the zones to play in after class were organized perfectly and I loved the array of different toys for the kids to use! We visited the library to see a talk on Henry Flagler and his role in bringing railroads to Florida, given by a professor of history at IRCC. The library was clean and spacious with a fair number of patrons using its facilities when we visited. Parking was plentiful and free. The talk we came to see was in a beautiful conference room equipped for a PowerPoint slide show. The professor they hired to give the talk was both informative and entertaining. We had a very positive impression of the library and its facilities after our visit.

The staff are extremely helpful and nice. The facility needs a deep clean. There was an unpleasant urine odor in the library itself.

Morningside Library truly surprised me. I'm becoming the expert of Libraries because mine, nice and closeby, is closed for two years due to renovations. So I have been trying all the Libraries in St.Lucie County and yes, mine was in dire n need off an overhaul. I love going to Pratt Library at the Indian River community College. There's a little coffee shop across the "breezeway.."(the doors of that Library) . The Morningside Library is very into children. It's a large area and seems like there's always something going on for kids. They also have shelves full of books for sale (so cheap) and many of them! I don't like the Library in Tradition.
