St. Louis County Library–Samuel C. Sachs Branch

My first time today and it was a seamless experience. Got my library card in less than 5 minutes and took a couple books to read. All in 20 minutes are less. The catalog computer was easy to operate and understand. As a first timer I wanted help to locate the books at the address shown in the catalog computer. The help was quick too👍 Thanks for the great experience!

feels like an airport terminal or the waiting room of a car rental place. I used to really like this library. it had a large open area with lots of tables and felt really inviting and cozy. but after the renovation it basically just turned into a building with rows and rows of bookshelves with nowhere to sit and enjoy the book. Bleh. Hoping the other renovations at the other locations actually improve them instead of downgrade.

What's better than the library? They're all great, but there's something extra special about the Samuel C. Sachs Branch. Beautiful area, floor-to-ceiling windows and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Even in this time of restricted social interaction this is a safe and welcoming community space.
