Grant's View is a really wonderful library branch. It's roomy, well-lit, and just busy enough without being crowded (good for people watching and hanging out!). I've come with friends for the private study rooms for homework, sat near the windows with my laptop, and just come in to browse the "new books" section. The chairs are comfy and there are plenty of outlets for devices. The librarians are friendly and helpful, and the different media sections are spacious and labeled clearly. It's everything you need in a library:) There's even a vending machine on the first floor that's saved me from hunger/hanger a couple times when studying late. The vibe is really nice! And if you're anti social, the self checkout has been improved over time and worked flawlessly last visit even though I forgo
Lovely view of the park. Library is very nice with lots of activities. Nothing the library can do about it, but the traffic on the street below is insane, wish it could be curbed or slowed down somehow so it was easier and safer to get up the hill from the trail
This library is beautiful! I love using the private study rooms for meetings or project work. They have a great selection of books and puzzles, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
This library is excellent and is how libraries should be. It has lots of space for kids to play and find excellent books. It also has classes available, adult areas, plenty of study room and is still quiet even with the children's areas. I love bringing my family there and we go weekly. They also offer many things I didn't expect from libraries such as checking out tabletop games, puzzles, videos, and all sorts of things. I would highly recommend is library and the St Louis County libraries in general to anyone. If you have kids it's perfect especially when the weather isn't great. One comment mentioned coffee and I think that would be the one thing that libraries could add that would be incredible.
This is the loudest library I've ever been to. Even the study rooms are loud as all get out. If you want quiet, you're relegated to one small room labeled quiet on the second floor. Otherwise it's often nearly as loud as a cafeteria in here. I have sympathy for folks who need the library as a community space but there has to be compromise so everyone can be happy, right? Some of us need this as a work space... if I wanted to wear noise canceling headphones to get work done I'd go somewhere else...
