St Augustine Police Department

Three phone calls over 4 hours and the police still have done nothing regarding the blasting music that is continuing through 4am. They have laws that they arent concerned about enforcing, catering only to the partners. I suppose thats where the money comes from? Absolutely ridiculous. I am grateful I do not have a life threatening emergency, because I would hate to depend on these people for anything important.

Was truly wonderful to see your officer that responded to the Royal golf course for Jeff holding a sign, protect and uphold his Civil Rights. That's an officer that deserves the honor of the Citizenry. Praying all your officers are the same as him. Stay safe gentlemen. Stay honorable. 👍♥️

Over the course of a couple months, I have encountered behavior that I believe crosses the line from enforcement into harassment. Specifically, I am writing to express my concern regarding repeated interactions with a Saint Augustine police officer. In August, I was pulled over for speeding, and after handing the officer both my driver’s license and registration, he asked me for the registration again. I politely informed him that I had already provided that information. I never thought I would have to write something like this, but what my family has been through at the hands of this police department is unacceptable and deeply painful. My 15-year-old son — a child — was arrested for trespassing even though he did nothing wrong. He was simply in a public place near a high school, yet he was treated like a criminal instead of a kid. That single action gave him a record and trauma that no child should ever have to endure. At the same time, when my children and I were truly in danger, this department failed to protect us. Parked on the beach and not 15 minutes later they roll up trying to search my truck because of trash of the beach(I never saw it but they claimed a wine bottle cap was on the ground by my truck. Just completely disregarded the constitution and the public rights. Will never return to this city over the poor policing(Sheriff’s office isn’t any better)
