Springwood Inn

From the moment we walked into the Springwood Inn we felt like we had stepped into a Southern novel. The house is gorgeous, bright, and full of charm. The owners, Carolyn and Bob, were warm, kind, and gracious enough to give us a full tour of their home, including showing off that unique newel post on the staircase (which might deserve its own Instagram account). The whole place just felt like history and hospitality teamed up and decided to outdo themselves. Our room was beautiful and cheerful…the bed was comfy and the pillows/ towels were fluffy. The views out of our windows were amazing. The smell of coffee and bacon and eggs stirred us from our slumber, floating upstairs reminding us of the familiar comfort of waking up at grandma’s house. Phenomenal! Carolyn and Bob helped make our 36th wedding anniversary getaway extra special! I wanted to surprise my wife with a quiet and elegant B&B evening away and succeeded - Springwood is old-school elegant and the location peaceful - but I didn't expect to meet such gracious, attentive, and wonderfully friendly hosts. They really were a pleasure to meet and it was they who made this a celebration to remember!

Wow! What a SUPER find in Alabama at Springwood Inn! I found this beautiful B&B while planning my Christmas road trip. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Carolyn and Bob Orchid, the BEST hosts ever. I was so looking forward to attending their Christmas Tea but I arrived too late just as it was wrapping up. No problem for them, though. They had me set up and served with nice hot tea and tasty snacks within minutes of my arrival! It was a scrumptious treat after a long day of travel. I appreciated you going out of your way to ensure I enjoyed your tea party! The lovely southern mansion was so beautifully decorated for Christmas. Carolyn showed me all around and my room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and just what I needed for another long travel day.

This was just the BEST experience ever!?!🥰 My sister and our husbands were in town for a few days to surprise our Mother for her 80th birthday. When we arrived, Carolyn greeted my husband and I with the warmest welcome. She and her husband Bob showed us around their beautiful home and made sure we had everything we could possibly need during our stay. They were super accommodating and flexible with our crazy schedule, offering us a delicious breakfast each morning at the time most convenient for us. Our rooms were very clean and inviting….beds & pillows were also very comfortable.🙂 They even had a small refrigerator stocked with drinks and snacks which was located in the most quaint little library on the second floor near our bedrooms. (Coffee too!) My sister and I really enjoyed the porch
