Springfield Diner

We stop at this diner occasionally to break up our shopping trips to busy Baltimore Pike. This restaurant is much larger than it looks from the road. And the parking area is huge behind the building as well. There is classic counter, seating, booth, seating, and tables to accommodate any size party. as with many classic diners, the menu seems to be endless with standard American, Italian, Greek, and modern American food. We tend to order Greek because that is hardly finding our area. food has always been above average. The service always excels. Staff are well trained, attentive, friendly, and very accommodating. I’ve read mixed reviews but I can’t say a word against this place. Friendly service staff, reasonable prices, loads of food that tastes delicious. Add the cakes!!!! Will be back.

I had ordered chicken croquettes. They were a nice size but actually uneatable. So completely dry it tasted like sandpaper. There was nothing in them except for chopped up chicken. I asked the waiter if they were overcooked and he said they look the same as usual. He then said I could speak to the manager which I did. Unfortunately the manager/owner did not help me out at all. He said they get the croquettes from another vendor. I then asked if anyone else has complained and he responded "no". Then he said people put gravy on them. (Which is what I had attempted but it did not help with the dryness and bland taste at all). He did not even ask me if I wanted to order something else. I sat there for a while disgusted and then told the waiter that the manager did not even offer me

Susan was a wonderful server and made us feel very welcomed. The food was delicious and the menu has a wide selection. Definitely had to get some cake after seeing them.

Awesome diner! My dad and I ate here and enjoyed homemade meals. He had an open faced roast beef with a cup of chicken noodle soup. I had a chicken salad triple decker club with fries. Service was great, very clean restaurant. Check it out!
