Spring Lake Library

What a gem! It has a Harry Potter vibe. The librarians are great. They have a children's storytime. If you are visiting Spring Lake, pop in for a quick visit. The attached theater has a beautiful community room on the first floor and an art exhibit on the second floor.

An adorable space staffed by well read, helpful and kind women. An added bonus is that they have a staff member that is a notary (you need to make an appointment).

The space had a Harry Potter feel, so I went in to work on my book. I’m a novelist visiting the area. I was not made to feel welcome and will be researching other libraries in the area that may have a kinder vibe.

Did not have a good experience here, was very cozy and quaint at first. The first librarian was nice, but shifts changed and we were confronted by a very clearly unhappy lady, if I could go so far as to say that. She directed us to clean up our books and that maybe we should go to Free public library in the town that we live in. I never, was so shocked, and my children were also confused. I told her it was there first visit there, she then said my e I should teach them how to put the books away. What an embarrassment, I will never go back, and will go to the library that is farther in Brielle that had a better children’s section anyway. Shameful.

I go to print things out from the computer or my phone. Everyone working there is lovely and I really appreciate that they are there for me. Thank you so much.
