Spiro's Taverna

First of all, I myself would have never looked to a Greek restaurant for a traditional breakfast. But my wife suggested it. We were surprised. Both of our orders were very good. We were the first to arrive 7:30 on Sunday. The service and atmosphere were great. There was only one flaw for me and it was their traditional gravy for their biscuits. It wasn't bad by any means. But I'm very southern and a self admitted picky eater. And it just wasn't for me. However, my waitress notice that I didn't eat more than a bite of it and without me having to ask, removed it from my bill. This was an overall great experience and I would recommend it for a traditional breakfast. I myself will return. They have a large breakfast menu and I'm sure most anyone can find a traditional breakfast combination.

Our visit to Spiros Taverna was exceptional from beginning to end. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and consistently well prepared. Greeted with a smile at entrance (always a plus), server was very nice, smiling and very attentive. Music was very relaxing and the ambiance nice, small place but cozy and plenty of parking. Now, let’s talk about the food, the wait time was perfect for the very tasty Lamb Shank that was ordered (fell right off the bone, just the way I prefer). My wife had the Mediterranean pita with chicken and she also enjoyed it, the lemon wedge potatoes and green beans were also an add on to the flavor which all combined perfectly. The food was disappointing. We had the hummus trio and none of us cared for the red pepper humus. We also had a side of green beans that were “stewed” and only 1 of the 4 of us cared for it. No one liked it. My gyro was good. Three of the four of us enjoyed our entrees. The grilled potatoes were unremarkable.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality that instantly made me feel like family. The atmosphere is cozy and vibrant, with beautiful decor. The menu is full of mouth watering options, and everything we tried was incredible. The Souvlaki was perfectly grilled and seasoned, and the Moussaka was rich and flavorful with just the right amount of spice. Don’t even get me started on the Tzatziki it was light and, refreshing, and the perfect accompaniment to the warm pita. Our waitress was Kylie she was very friendly and attentive, and she really knows her Greek cuisine. The Baklava for dessert was the perfect way to end the meal sweet, flaky, and delicious.
