$2 Crazy Hour is absolutely insane! They have a great selection of sushi and various appetizers. The sushi is the same high quality as their dinner service ,the fish pieces are huge and incredibly fresh. The alcohol are 50% off, and the selection is massive, they're not stingy like other places that only offer one or two brands. It's a super friendly restaurant, and you absolutely cannot find a better deal in town!
The half duck was perfectly crispy and the sides were so fresh. Everything was still piping hot upon delivery. The packaging was fantastic .They thoughtfully package the sauces separately so nothing gets soggy.
The food here is good. Never had a bad experience with a take out order. Have tried to go here for happy hour or dinner several times and unfortunately the service isn’t great. Takes 20-30 mins to get my food each time. Even when it’s not busy. Waiters don’t check on drinks, etc. (maybe they’re short staffed). I recommend not going too hungry or just getting it to go.
After visiting the zoo, a few of us came here for dinner. We tried their sashimi and sushi — honestly, it's the freshest sashimi we've had in DC, right up there with what we had in Japan. It totally brought back memories of our trip to Tokyo. The service was super friendly too; they seated us at a large table even without a reservation. Prices were more affordable than the other place we went to a couple days ago. I don't get why there are bad reviews; it's a shame for this place. We'll definitely be back!
YOU CAN SKIP THIS PLACE. It looks better than it tastes. The food is lackluster. I give it a six out of 10 (6/10). it’s geared towards tourists, going to the zoo and other attractions in the area. If you’re looking for quality food or anything authentic, this is not the place and anyone who thinks that this food is good, I’m sorry but they just don’t know good food. If you want real duck go to Duck Chang‘s in Annandale or Peking gourmet in Falls Church. I live in DC, but I drive to the suburbs for those places. I was hoping to find a good duck in DC, and I’m going to have to still keep looking, because this place is not it. The sushi, the soups and everything else looked mediocre at best.
