Spengler's

I enjoyed Spengler's on a Saturday late afternoon / early evening while visiting Napoleon for a wrestling tournament. When I got there the place was about half-full but that quickly turned into a full house. The staff had their hands full but they attended everyone as quickly and efficiently as they could. It was appreciated. I enjoyed a brat burger with lettuce, tomato, mayo, onion, pickle and cheese and I also had onion rings with that. Additionally I tried the "Two on Rye," which is two natural-casing hot dogs served on rye bread. All of my food was well-made and came out nice and hot. Very tasty. My biggest surprise was the inclusion of Henry Weinhard Soda on their menu. The root beer from that company is my all-time favorite and it was so nice to not only enjoy some with my meal,

A true piece of Americana here. Stopped in for lunch were I found a couple of local retired gentleman enjoying a beer. Knew I was in the right spot. An obvious expert staffed the grill right beside me. I ordered the TexMex salad and it was bomb! The service was a tat slow but they were slammed busy. Very polite and professional service though.

Very good very, food came out fast. We had a side salad, waffle fries and a Turkey Gobbler sandwich. Very good.

I have no idea how this place was busy or had a high rating. I ordered the pickle fries which were salty as heck. I ordered a quesadilla burger and waffle fries. Said it comes with jalapeños and there were maybe 3 tiny ones on the whole thing. Burger was so overcooked and dry. Had to add a salt, pepper, mustard, and ketchup myself to make it edible. Waffle fries were undercooked. My son liked his fries and chicken strips. They tried to charge me for his milk even though the menu says it's included. Luckily I caught it and they removed it. Our food took an HOUR to get to us and I noticed a table next to us with 6 people. 5 of the 6 got their food. One guy sat there for half an hour while everyone else ate before he got his food....a sandwich, like what? Service was slow and meh as well. Wil

Delicious food! Second time we have been there and we definitely plan on coming back! The server was very nice and attentive! I definitely recommend the American Chesseburger, you can't go wrong! The environment is awesome. Just to be in a place that is so old and has the original things.
