Great Carolina BBQ joint! Large portions and good prices for the quality and flavor of food! Very tender meat as well! Nice lunch pit stop driving back to Charlotte after a weekend in Durham.

Great atmosphere delicious food wonderful service. Not to mention that if you order the larger plate it will feed 2-3 people. Will definitely return the next time I am in the area.

It’s been more than 15 years since I last visited Speedy’s BBQ after moving out of the area. It’s always a bit of a question after that much time how a place holds up. So excited to see this place sticking to tradition and clearly has not floundered over the years. This is top of the line NC pork bbq! Always has been and continues to one of my very favorite places to find this style of bbq done right. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the service on point. It’s been redecorated some since my last visit but continues to have nice country appeal. I had the chopped bbq sandwich with slaw. Amazing barbecue exclusively sold by the mound. Felt like three metric tons for 12.75. Wait staff was on point never letting the suffering of an empty glass be known. Location has changed since my childhood but the rest of the nostalgia bomb remained.

This is a great place to get some good ol' comfort food. Southern BBQ, burger, fries, onion rings, and don't forget the cobbler!! All the staff take care of any needs you may have during your meal. Heck, you even get your own little pitcher of drink refills right off the bat. Very generous portions, so if you leave hungry that's on you!
