I love this bar. The vibe is normally relaxed. The music and DVD movies may not be everyone’s favorite, but I think they are great. Prices are NOVA prices, but always worth it for their unique selections on draft. They have a few old school arcade games as well so bring some change.

Have you ever wanted to have good beer with a crazy grilled cheese while watching 1980s max max 2? I know I hadn’t, and now I need it. Love this place. Bartenders are cool too. Perfect for a chill night out, not too loud either.

Spacebar is a slightly nerdy dive bar and I love it. Grilled cheese any way you like it, loaded tater tots and beer....what more could you want? The space is a little small, but they maximize seating at both tables and the bar. It is a seat yourself kind of place. My husband and I grabbed the last available booth and found food and beverage menus already placed at the table. We ordered a couple beers and loaded tater tots with mojo spiced pulled pork. I enjoyed the tropical sour ale called Bel Air, by Brooklyn. My husband enjoyed the Alesmith Speedway imperial coffee stout. I'm not usually all about imperial stouts, but that one was tasty. Really awesome, imaginative grilled cheese sandwiches with a great beer selection. I'd like to make this place my local. Sadly, it is extremely loud. Conversation was not an option. My date and I just sat there and looked at each other. Take a bite, look around, take a sip, look around. Repeat until done. Leave.

Fantastic! 5 of us seated promptly at the bar (thanks to a couple of friendly patrons willing to slide down). Everybody got something different and everyone loved their food. The tots are the best I’ve had in a loooong time. Sandwiches are on point and the beer selection is great. Our service at the bar was friendly and fast. The folks here know what they are doing for sure.
