Southwest Soda Pop Shop

Good ice cream, but a bit on the expensive side, it’s over $7 for a “regular” size shake. It is entirely out doors and has limited seating areas. If your with friends it’s fun, and worry free but when looking for a place nearby this might not be it.

i just stopped for a quick sweet treat. The birthday cake ice cream was very good and had really pieces of colored cake unlike store bought ice cream. It was pretty melted but regardless tasted good.

It is always a very good pleasure to come here to get something sweet 😋 But there is something I don't understand. There was a line of maybe 7 people and only one girl to do everything. But I saw a couple of times some people were also working at this shop inside, doing stuff except helping her... I know they probably have other stuff to do, but when it's a rush or a big line, you can still give a little bit of help... But the girl did great !

Southwest Soda Pop Shop is a cute outdoor ice cream and soda stand. Serving soft serve and scoop ice creams , floats, and sodas. A wonderful stop on the north end of the newly opened DC Wharf. Look closely for the shop since there is still a lot of construction. It is located on Maine Ave directly in front of the Seafood Market. There is ample bench seating under a shaded awning. It will be even nicer to visit once the construction is completed.

THIS WAS THE WORST SERVICE IVE EVER EXPERIENCED. it took 30 minutes to order with no one in line. Just no one at the window to take the order. Then it took another 20 minutes to make the ice cream. We ordered 1 soft serve and 2 scoops of ice cream. Everything we ordered was already made and just needed to be assembled. There were multiple employees just sitting down on their phone and only 1 person barely working. An absolutely insane experience.
