I don’t even know where to start. This place is one of the most amazing places with the best food in town or in the surrounding area. When I mean food I mean packed with flavor and full of love when made. I had the green tomato BLT and fried okra. It was amazing! The other plate is the Mississippi catfish and grits. I promise you it beat any seafood plate at the beach. Why…… because of the flavors in it. There is not one thing that you will not be disappointed with. You can get coffee or even muffins. You got to go see them. Now they are closed Monday and Tuesdays. Tell them the bald guy sent you there to try it.
A breakfast gem, delicious food & coffee with friendly service! The shrimp & grits was bursting in flavors, the pancakes were fluffy. We will be back!
THE GOOD -Great service. Staff was friendly, quickly took my order, and food was out quickly. -Clean. Staff kept tables clean. -Food tasted great. I had the 2 piece catfish, potato wedges, okra, cornbread, and tea. Everything was hot and well seasoned. THE BAD -The price. Everything i mentioned above came out to $30.25 and that's not including tip. The 1 piece catfish meal was $17.99 and to add another piece of catfish costs and additional $7.29. Why is it so expensive? The only reason I got it was because I love catfish and this is my first time here and I had to try it. I eat catfish at every other restaraunt that I go to that offers it and it isn't that expensive (and it's just as good). I'll definitely come back but will choose something a little less expensive next time. Again, great
Oh my goodness! This place was off the chain! I'm a Southern gal, and they had the best smothered turkey wings I have ever eaten. The food was all so good. I had collard greens, yams, and cornbread. It was all so good that I hurt myself. My granddaughter had the oxtails and she said it was the best she has ever had. My husband had breakfast and was very pleased. My friend had the catfish and she said it was the best. This place definitely is a gem. You would not be disappointed. I have to tell you that when I was leaving at 11:15 a.m., I heard them saying they only had one plate of smothered turkey wings left.
The food was phenomenal and the wait staff were so friendly and attentive. I can't wait to come back and bring my husband! He'll be drooling over the shrimp and grits. The bourbon syrup with the chicken and waffles was also so tasty. The hot, freshly baked sweet potato bread was *chef's kiss*
