I decided to try this location based on the reviews. I’m glad I did. My order was excellent! I got the catfish & chicken combo—everything was made fresh, hot, and seasoned just right. And let me tell you, it was a lot of food for such a reasonable price. Well worth it. Shout out to Peanut and Cosha—two of the friendliest people I’ve run into in a long time. They made the experience even better with their welcoming vibe and great service. Now let’s talk about that red velvet cake… Hands down the best I’ve ever tasted. I knew I was wrong veering off my eating plan, but I didn’t just slip—I dove head first into that slice and didn’t look back! 🫣 Thank you for an amazing meal! The drive was definitely worth it. I’ll be back—no question.

was my first time their. I got my order mixed up, which irritated the person the cashier, mac & cheese was just as sweet as the sweet potatoes because the juice spilled into the mac & cheese, my opinion the sweet potatoes should have been in a container by itself like the greens, The codfish was rubbery extra crispy only outside, but the flavor was OK, ott, idk, maybe one day I’ll try it again. I don’t know.

My first time trying soul food, WOW!! This is the best way to explain my INCREDIBLE experience. You know those videos you see of white folks going to black folks at Thanksgiving to eat for the first time and the white folks just SHOVEL all that yummy goodness by the spoonfuls in their mouths, they're not talking or nothing, just straight grubbing, blocked everything out, and you don't even know if they're breathing but they sure are eating?? Yeah, that was me with this place, WOW!! I mean, DELICIOUS!! I inhaled my food, left no crumbs. If you want southern soul food, EAT HERE, no regrets....and a big shout out to Marshall who sold me into eating here, he a good dude, THANK YOU for the amazing service!!

Ordered the most basic burger called K-9. GREAT homemade taste. Very casual place. Nice young lady took the order. No public restrooms, take-out only. Also No Air conditioning. Have been there a few times over the last year or so. Spaghetti on the menu once when I visited but haven't been able to try it yet. K-9 cheeseburger on Texas toast. A nice homemade flavor with a generous portion of fries.

Finally tried this place, after being recommended to my boyfriend from the owner. Shrimp was some of the best seasoned I've had. Definitely get the loaded potato and add the brisket 👌. Fish and chicken were on point too. We expected hot wing size chicken, and got full wing and drum pieces with the order. The bbq sauce they give was very tasty. Only downside was the onion rings were over fried, fries were a little soggy, and we were hoping for an in-house made tartar sauce since everything else seemed to be. Overall great place to check out.
