Southeast Branch | St. Johns County Public Library System

I’ve enjoyed using the Southeast Branch library so much that I realized it is time to post a review. It is an amazing facility with a very convenient location just off Route 1. Nice building which is now about 23 years old. I have supported elections here several times as a “poll deputy.” I have been very impressed with the superb support to the elections and electorate given by the librarians here. Speaking of the librarians, they are simply amazing and exceptionally helpful. As a retired navy officer, I’ve used libraries across the country, and this is the best group I’ve encountered. My only negative comment is the county needs to add more financial support to its library system.

I love the activities this library has to offer. The chair yoga class , the monthly adult craft and the ongoing puzzle to work on are great things offered by the library. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I’m glad I moved here.

They should call this library "The Green Room", as the surrounding plants and life -- combined with the green hues used in painting the building -- give it a "natural" feeling unique to this location. I loved simply walking the grounds. The inside is spacious with plenty of seating, including comfy seating areas, with many power outlets and very good WiFi. The air conditioning was not too cold, and it was far more relaxed than the north location. Love this library!

Absolutely nice and efficient people. My situation was a little different and yet they took care of me very well. Gave me clear instructions. Made my day easier.

The area surrounding the Library complex is a great quiet place to spend your lunch break or just sit and watch the ducks and turtles as you read your Library book. New fountain in duck pod is up and running!
