Southampton Free Library

Great library that offers so much for the community! Their calendar is always packed with great events for all ages. The library has a great variety of books to borrow as well as other things. Spacious, clean, and always a friendly staff. Love spending time here!

It's a library what's not to love about it??? Free, the librarians are top notch, and have activities for not only children but adults.

I attended a book signing at this library by established author Eva R. Priestly. As an educator for over 20 years, and a writer myself, I found that this library dropped the ball regarding publicizing the event. If the staff at Southampton had advertised the book signing, more of the reading public would have attended! This library needs to follow in the footsteps of Abington library, which sponsors huge events, offers tutoring and adult classes which range from Meditation workshops to Creative Writing classes! Their events are always well attended because their staff makes a supreme effort to advertise! Come on Southampton library, a book signing is a huge deal, in fact any event that promotes literacy is a huge deal! A reading public is an educated public! Kudos to Eva R. Priestly!

The Free Library offers a great selection of books and videos for sale, making it a valuable resource for anyone looking to enhance their collection or just checking out a book or video.

Been going to this library on and off at different times. The staff are polite and friendly. Checking out books is easy with self-checkout or having a staff member assisting you at the front desk. I recommend this place if your looking for books to read.
