South Windsor Public Library

Stunning library with amazing programming. Staff and Friends of the Library volunteers working at two fundraising events there today were great. They had a jewelry sale and book sale as well as a whole area of free books. Will post pics of my jewelry buys and the library itself.

Words and Whimsy children program of South Windsor library for kids age 0-24months is really of poor quality. It goes on for only 15mins from 10.30-10.45am on Mondays. In those 15minutes only few nursery rhymes are sung by the teacher who wears mask and no mic so it is not very clear and loud for kids. There is no dancing, art, no other activities like showing books or story time which are conducted in other libraries for that age group. Also the teacher is quiet rude if we read books to the kids saying don't touch the books on the wall. They are big picture books which children enjoy. We don't understand the books are for decorations or for kids to read? Everyone (parents) attending the sessions complain on how there are no fun activities for this age group in words and Whimsy program.

The South Windsor Public Library is great resource for learning. That have private rooms for meetings, studying, and seminars which are very handy, free, and open to the public. They have good information in their website with the perks of having a library card and even passes in museums. They have good separation in the kids area in the lower level of the library and main library in the second level. It’s very quiet and a perfect place for studying. I would definitely go back!

Library shares compound with Probate court. Friendly and Professional Staff. Quite helpful.

I was looking for a calm place for preparing for my engineering exams... reading at home was difficult because of many distractions...i found this grate place.it has very good book collection.free wifi... computers with internet connection. Staff here are very co operative. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for sime place to sit and focus on reading.
