South Swell Donuts

We got to visit during their 30th Aniversary. The owner was incredibly sweet! We tried their donuts and croissants and they really good! It was such a inviting atmosphere! Highly recommend.

I mean this with full conviction- these were the best donuts I’ve ever had. Fluffy, perfect amount of moisture, and spectacular overall flavor and texture. And to make it better- the woman who seems to run the place and the boy at the counter were super nice and totally made my day with friendliness. This is the spot!!! Have been here a few times for their ham and cheese croissants. Another customer ordered some pho and I gave it a go. So delicious. Jackie is absolutely amazing as a business owner. So kind to her customers. Best pho in Laguna Beach

Pho and donuts? Sure, why not! Two of some of my favorite things can be found at South Swell Donuts: Pho and donuts! And it is especially comforting on a rainy day for someone visiting from out of town like myself. It was a rainy afternoon when I turned to my trusty Yelp app to look for a pho spot in the area. Surprisingly, South Swell Donuts popped up on my feed and I began perusing this shop’s Yelp photos and reviews. I was sold after reading a few reviews and I knew I had to try it out. South Swell Donuts is located in Laguna Beach on PCH between 2nd and 3rd. There is limited street parking in front of the shop, as well as up the hill from the corner of the street. Stopped by before a trip to the beach. The staff was very friendly and they had a decent selection of drink and fresh baked goods. To my surprise they had pho, which I shared with my wife. The broth was nothing memorable, and the rice noodles were excellent. A good addition to the herb plate would have been some mint and additional beansprouts.
