Nice clean library. Staff is very friendly. Only thing that frustrates me is it can sometimes get loud. Conversations can be loud and sometimes staff speak loud and it can be distracting. Study rooms walls are paper THIN. I think groups find comfort in using them not realizing how thin the walls are. You can hear conversations verbatim or anything playing if you share a wall between rooms. I cancelled a couple sessions because of this. I prefer the quiet room, its always quiet and people are usually respectful of the area. Overall pleased with this library and its ambiance!

This is one of the more modern designed libraries I’ve seen in Maryland. Beautiful high ceilings throughout. Upstairs and downstairs both have meeting rooms. There’s a huge section for young readers and families and I love to spaced out floor plan which makes the interior feel super open. Plenty of parking as well

Very spacious, clean, and comfortable place with several amenities; study rooms available in 2hr blocks, cozy fireplace w lounge area, large tables w outlets for convenience, teen section, snack section, kiddie section, computer lab & room rentals, print area, group study area. This is a very nice library with friendly and helpful staff, but this winter there is a loud noise in the main room from the heating unit that can be annoying.

Always a great experience at Bowie South. The staff is so helpful. There are plenty of computers. A good selection of books is still available. It's really comfortable there.
