South Block

I visited South Block today and ordered the Dubai Açaí Bowl. While I usually love açaí bowls and don’t mind paying more for quality, I was really disappointed with the portion size. For the price, the amount I received was very small and did not feel worth the cost. I’ve enjoyed South Block in the past, but this experience left me unsatisfied and upset. I hope the company considers improving portion sizes to better match their pricing. EDIT: I wanted to share an updated experience at South Block. My daughter and I ordered the Dubai açaí bowl, and the portion was great this time — we were both really happy with it. I had previously reached out to management about a concern, and I truly appreciate that they listened and made things right. It means a lot to see a business care about customer

I absolutely adore south block and am so glad they are expanding. i looked forward to my south block as a treat for myself. when this location opened up everyone was so kind but when I go in now, it feels different. I have been ordering the same thing since 2023 and never had an issue. I know i sound crazy but I get triple nutella on my bowl. I pay extra $3 every time, no issue, but now whenever I order, it’s as if I didn’t order extra. I asked the employee if it was triple nutella and she said the bowls are only “4 point” and that no matter what I order I will just get the same amount? The first photo is the bowl that supposedly had “triple” nutella versus the next photo is what I always received. I am sad because I always looked forward to it but now the employees act as if it’s a favor

One of my favorite locations! Not to say I've been to all South Block locations, but it feels like I am trying to hit them all. Hahaha.. The tables out front are nice. You can chill with your awesome bowl while watching parking lot traffic. 🤣 The crew here is nice and efficient. I haven't gotten my fist bump yet, but at least least my order is always here ready waiting for me when I order online.

Ordered pick up and my order was ready before the estimated time, the storefront was clean, and the employees were welcoming and friendly! Got the Dubai chocolate açaí bowl and it was delicious!! Love the pistachio butter! 10/10 recommend!

I’ve loved the old town Alexandria south block locations for years so I was excited to try this new one out. The Acai bowl I got was good, however I had to wait over 15 minutes for it to be prepared. I was the only new customer in the store during this time; around 3pm on a Tuesday. I also was a little frustrated that the spoons were in a slightly dirty bowl without any plastic covering. Doesn’t feel super sanitary to me.
