Sound Reach

My wife, son and I had traveled from Houston seeking a “getaway” from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Plus we wanted to be near my wife’s family and friends whom we were visiting in the Madison area. Pam and Larry’s warm conversations, excellent and delightful accommodations, and healthful breakfasts made Sound Reach the perfect place for our three day stay. The rooms are spacious; in fact, we enjoyed the full use of the very pleasant living room and two bedroom wing of their very charming log home. And we were able to wake-up every morning to see birds, spring flowers and woods outside every window. We will definitely stay again.

Sound Reach is a beautiful artist's home in such a lovely, tranquil setting. Pam was so gracious and so very accommodating to our weekend schedule of comings and goings. The room was charming, comfortable, and clean and the breakfasts were wonderfully personalized, beautifully presented, and so delicious. Absolutely perfect! Thank you, Pam and Larry -- it was great to chat with you both and I do hope we will see you again as we travel back and forth from Maine to NY to visit children! MLC and SOS

I call Sound Reach the 'house in the sky' because this gem is only 15 minutes outside of downtown Guilford, but you are in the country. I just needed a place for my Mom and me to sleep during the craft exhibit in town..... but what we got was a whole lot more. Pam and Larry are funny, caring, interesting and made us feel like part of the family. The rooms are comfortable & clean -- and at 90 degrees, also air-conditioned! Ask for Pam's cornbread with blueberries ... and ask Larry for a Bach concert. Dolce will greet you in the am (the dog) and hummingbirds will take your attention for way too long. I hope I have cause to stay there again.

Sound Reach is the perfect place for a quiet and relaxing get away either for 1 person , a couple or family. Pam and Larry made a wonderful breakfast every morning. Very accommodating to our needs. Close to the beach and center of town. Rooms were kept clean and neat. Gave us ideas of where to go and places to see and eat. Would definitely stay again. Larry and Pam are a very fun and loving couple. They made us feel very comfortable.

I have been returning to the Sound Reach for almost three years now. It has become our family's "go-to" lodging when visiting friends and family in Connecticut. The owners, Pamela and Larry, are kind and helpful. The property is serene. It is nestled in quiet North Guilford, but is located just minutes from the highway, the beach, and town. The breakfast is unparalleled as Pamela cooks with fresh ingredients to serve healthy, gourmet options. The accommodations are clean and well-stocked. We feel truly at home each time we return for a stay and each night we tuck in for a good night's rest. Best option in the area!
