Mac and cheese had no cheese tasted like oodles noodles. Yams was mashed had no flavor Fr tasted straight like can ones no chunks. Chicken was decent the mango habanero was tasty and the lemon pepper was salty. Whereas the chicken wings and fries was amazing in the first ten minutes but the wings can't sit they get soggy. Made my stomach hurt. Called the restaurant prior to get a resolution but Tina didn't care. Honestly wouldn't return.

This is my first dining experience with this business and I went to their Pentagon City Mall location. We live 15 minutes down the road. I ordered my grandmother the fried whiting fish with candied yams and cabbage. I got 8 wings (Caribbean jerk and mumbo sauce) with collards and corn. Two small pieces of cornbread automatically came with the meals. She got the regular sweet tea and I got the soul punch. All of this totaled to about $45. Our experience was disappointing to say the least. I went inside the mall to place a to go order and the staff was very friendly. They were out of many sides, but I went around 4:30pm so I assumed they had a busy day, no problem. When looking at the menu, it was very diverse and looked great, but that was not the case after eating. My grandmother enjoyed

My daughter raved about this restaurant so we visited while in DC. Upon entering it was unbearably hot. They had a fan going but it was simply circulating hot air. We placed our order and thank goodness we had cash because they weren't accepting cards for payment due to a system issue. That was quite inconvenient and would've been good to know prior to ordering. The food itself was hot and fresh. Our order was also accurate. It's a little "hole in the wall" place which are most times the tastiest places to eat. The restaurant is very small and you only have enough room to order and wait outside for it to be fulfilled. Needless to say there's no seating or table service offered. Overall, it's a soul food restaurant with tasty menu items. It's moderately priced. I'd return with my daught
