I love the food even though it’s not good for my health. If I want soul food I’m coming here, I as well live close by. They give you a lot of food for your money, I never been disappointed, food is hot & fresh, my favorite dish is the smothered pork chops or chicken with rice. I been to other places in the food wasn’t hot & fresh. Thanks Soul food restaurant, y'all will be seeing me soon.

this is a fair warning do not waste your money. The food is not good at all tasteless seasonless, and souless I ordered the fried chicken wings, smothered chicken wing dinners, and both were not edible. Chicken wings are not even completely cooked and rubbery, the mac & cheese taste like the powdered craft box and the greens had no season and they were undercooked. Do not eat here. I was so disappointed. secondly, he overcharged me wasn’t by much but just imagine if he does this to every customer how much extra is he taking home daily? And when I went back to get the difference refunded, he tried to refund me. I had to tell him exactly how much he owed me back. Go to " Taste of Soul" instead. Real homemade soul food.

I sent 27$ on plate smooth steak and pinto beans and yam. Side of mac&cheese.It was the worst food I’ve ever had.Steak tasted old yam was horrible. I’ve ever tasted in my life and Mac&cheese. I don’t recommend for no one to eat there.

This was my first experience at this restaurant. The service was professional, after the staff let me into the locked lobby. The food was very good, especially the greens! I tried the Kool Aid as well and it was great, the taste really took me back! I do not live in Milwaukee, however the next time I'm in town and looking for home cooking, I may just stop by!

Purchased a side of macaroni and cheese, side of steamed cabbage and Kool aid. Came up to $14 and some change. Bit over priced for me. Food was ok.
