Sorellina

We went to Sorellina yesterday (Saturday night) at 5:30 pm as that was the only reservation I could get at one of the top restaurants in Backbay Boston. Boston has some good restaurants but getting reservations on a Saturday night if you don’t have one is going to take a miracle. Sorellina is an Italian-Mediterranean restaurant and it is also a one of the romantic places to dine with beautiful ambience. They are known for their fresh pastas and seafood. Their service is impeccable and they really go overboard with it. The food was amazing as well. We tried the tuna tartare, the oysters for appetizers. We shared the mafaldine a mushroom pasta for primi, and the veal chop Milanese for entree. Just one thing was that the veal was a bit overcooked. We tasted the non-alcoholic Negroni count-me-

A bit dark inside but otherwise the service and food was amazing. Casey (the GM) came to our table and made us feel super welcome, our server was extremely knowledgeable about our wine selection and the food was delicious! Everything made my girlfriend’s bday dinner special.

Sorrelina has a lovely, intimate ambiance, but overall the experience fell short of expectations. The service was fine. There was plenty of attentive staff, but nothing particularly memorable. The tuna tartare had potential, though the horseradish overpowered the delicate flavor of the fish. I was a bit disappointed they didn’t have fettuccine, so I opted for the cavatellini with Bolognese, while my friend had the potato gnocchi with Maine lobster. Both dishes were decent but not standout. Dessert was the cioccolato, which was nice, and we paired it with a rum coconut cocktail and a Caribbean rum which were both quite good. Excellent Wedding Anniversary celebration at Sorellina last night. The ambience , food and service was outstanding. The Veal Chop Milanese and Pasta Bolognese were delicious. The dessert was amazing. A quick cocktail at the bar before our table was nice. Since we were coming from north of the city, The valet parking was so convenient. Chuck and Denise

I want to recognize Sebastián for the outstanding service he provided at Sorellina. The food was absolutely delicious, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Sebastián was attentive, professional, and genuinely warm from start to finish. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and his recommendations were excellent. The service was truly one of the best we have had in a long time. We would also like to recognize the entire staff, who were always attentive to every course and made sure the table was kept impeccable throughout the evening. Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. We truly appreciate the exceptional service and look forward to coming back soon.
