What a incredibly refreshing experience. Perfect mix of creativity, technique, freshness, cleanliness with a little humor added in to make this such a genuinely positive experience. It’s clear that people put careful thought into making this place different than other options around. The menu showcase much of what you would expect, but the surprises you with unique and fun food options. Prices are restrained, so you can afford to try a few different small plates. Very smart pricing and menu planning. The place was bright & clean with a lot to look at from decor, merchandise and fresh seafood for dining in or to takeout. Well, this was a fine way to wrap up our 11 day tour of Maine. We've been gravel/road biking each day visiting local eateries along the way. SoPo Seafood is a memorable stop. A comfortable space casually located in a street adjacent to a larger shopping plaza. They obviously have fresh seafood, most places in Maine do, but the attention to detail, service, and unique offerings took the whole experience to the next level. This day they had six varieties of oysters, all six were fantastic, all six had firmer texture than we were accustomed to (temp?), medium size, and medium brine - all six had me using less accoutrements than normal, just a splash of their habanero mignonette & lemon. Placed my first order with SOPO and I’m very pleased. I have ordered seafood from many different locations over the years and I believe that I have found a home. Well packed and on time, the quality ( both taste and freshness ) were excellent. I would recommend SOFO as a go to supplier for those special occasions .

We enjoyed our lunch date during Maine Restaurant Week. The special we ordered were fresh and flavorful. A fresh fish market in house to serve our needs to enjoy fresh seafood at home with our guests. Gorgeous Gelato is on the desert menu! We will return to try many more offerings from their regular menu.

Absolutely the best! This is the first time ever ordering seafood online and I’m not disappointed. Everything came extremely well packaged and fresh. I bought U15 Scallops, a couple of pounds of Cod, Lobster Tails and a filet of Hake (which I never had before) but sounded like an inexpensive alternative to Cod. Over the weekend I prepared the Cod, Lobster and Scallops in my basement kitchen and everything was delicious. The Scallops seared perfectly and were the best we ever ate prepared at home.
