Sonny's BBQ

We went here for dinner with my husband and his dad. First time eating at a Sonny's BBQ. Place was clean, really friendly service, somewhat empty for a Sunday early evening (which was good). We ordered 3 lean brisket meals, fried okra, cheese curds, and BBQ pork egg rolls as appetizers, and 2 unsweetened teas. Appetizers were brought out fairly fast (about 10 minutes) and main course followed soon after. Brisket was extremely soft and tasted smoky just like the description. My husband got the baked sweet potato side which was great and I had the mac n cheese which was OK. It's a BBQ place, not a mac n cheese place 😅. Our server was pleasant and super considerate, checking in on us periodically and even re-supplying us with a new paper towel roll when ours was down to the last few pieces

The restaurant was clean and the food was delicious, fresh and hot. The icing on the cake was the impeccable service by Emelia! She is absolutely amazing and such an asset to your establishment. She was personable, friendly, funny and warm. We even hugged when leaving. This is a must go everytime!

Went in for the special, ended up ordering baby back ribs. They came out burnt black on the bottom. Had cold corn nuggets, and my fries were sub par which I asked for well done. They weren't real busy so I guess we got what was sitting there.( I don't like to send food back) . The manager brought me out a new slab of ribs before we left. Just made for a bad experience. Normally we get piping hot food and Great Service from this place.

Ordered 6 BBQ ribs with sweet sauce. I got dry rub with packets of BBQ sauce. They weren’t like the normal BBQ ribs. I should have known something was going to be wrong. The drive thru attendant said they don’t sell them like that. He said they only sold them by 1/2 or Full rack. I will say, the Cob Salad was very good. Sonny’s needs to train their employees better. Also, there’s been times that I’ve waited in line for 30 minutes. I would go inside, but I have mobility issues and it’s very difficult for me to get around.

The food was excellent. We had pulled pork and turkey, fried okra, BBQ beans, green beans and loaded Mac cheese. The man and cheese was phenomenal with the crispy onions. Don't skip it. Everything was so tasty. Waitstaff was friendly and quick. Recommended!
