Sonestown Country Inn

We went for dinner and a ghost tour. We made reservations but they didn't seem to remember and put us in a back room that was freezing. The waitress and owner were very nice but the kitchen "forgot"? to put the scallops on my seafood platter and they still charged us full price. That was pretty lame. Waitress recommended the bruschetta app which would have been delicious if the bread wasn't so soggy. All of our vegetables were freezing cold as well. Ghost tour was fun.

Great hidden gem. Food was great, drinks very reasonable, and room was good. Three good buddies on our motorcycles stayed here overnight on a bike trip. We are going back this weekend because we liked it that much. As in any old hotel, the rooms were spartan but O.K. If you want all the extras, this place is not for you. ( Go pay $150 for a Holiday Inn.). We loved it!

We were there Valentines day so yes they were busy. However, the staff seemed like it was their first night. Once we had our drinks and placed our order from their limited menu the place fell apart in the large dining room. A grp of 10 placed their order. Dinner was served in spurts. they didn't even get their salads first. At one point the last gentleman didn't even get a meal because everyone was done eating. I think he went right for dessert. Being a couple of two, ours wasn't as bad. Salad was served, then dinner and dessert. The prime rib was more like a steak cut. I saw one other couple that wasn't enjoying their meal either as it was only one of the two eating at a time. I'll give the place another try on a slower evening. Road 110 miles to sonestown on motorcycle to have lunch at the inn. We been there a few times. Our server was wonderful. Our lunch was great. The owner came out to talk to us for a few minutes. Very nice. I am sure our motorcycle will take us there again soon. They added an outside area with a bar and eating area.

Was a there tonight for dinner the employees are friendly the food is good I ordered the seafood platter it comes with broiled Haddock clams shrimp 2 crab cakes coleslaw and corn with a baked potato my order was missing the crab cakes and the ticket time is very slow never stayed in the rooms so can not rate them. Over-all it is a good place to eat as far a food quality and the employees frindlyness...
