Sol De Mexico

I came here with my husband and we thought it was dead inside. Took a bit to get seated and to have our drinks ordered but it was order drinks they came back appetizers? Of course we got the fresh Guacamole absolutely worth the money spent on it. I got the nachos and my husband got the premium grilled bowl and both were AMAZING! The decor is so fresh and beautiful to look at and definitely give this place a lot of class that other standard Mexican restaurants don’t have. Definitely will come again when able.

Tonight I had the opportunity to visit Sol de México restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted in a very friendly manner, which immediately made me feel welcome. The customer service was excellent throughout my visit; the staff was attentive, respectful, and always made sure everything at our table was perfect. Every detail of the atmosphere creates an authentic and cozy experience, with spectacular decorations that truly make you feel as if you are in Mexico. The Texas fajitas, the molcajete, and the supreme burritos were, without a doubt, the best part of the experience. The food was delicious, very well prepared, and full of incredible flavor. I stopped in thinking this place would compare to some of the other Mexican restaurants in the area. Boy, was I wrong. I ordered the Tacos de Pastor. On the first bite, I realized I was chewing on something other than chicken. Fortunately, I didn’t swallow it—it turned out to be a sliver of metal which would have resulted in a trip to the emergency room and potentially surgery. I brought this to the waiter’s attention. He took the metal and the dish from the table and then asked if I would like something else from the menu. I decided to order a burrito instead. The burrito came with fries, which were actually pretty good—at first. Then I discovered that one of the fries was frozen solid. This restaurant was good for the first time. The food and drinks were tasty. I love the chips and salsa. The guacamole was good too. I ordered the steak Fajitas. They came out sizzling hot and were delicious. They do need to give you more Tortilla shells for the steak. The service on the other hand was questionable. I gave it 3 stars because It was the end of the night and were about to close in a few, so I would have to go back again around normal business hours to see if the service was always like that, or if they were just ready to go home. The lady who comes to clean the tables off AFTER everyone eats was very aggressive. She was attempting to clean off the table when people were still eating. FABULOUS!!!! Loved it! Food was AWESOME! Karina our server was perfect! Very happy with our first time here. So very glad we stopped! It’s absolutely beautiful inside too! Love the decor! We ordered two entrees, appetizer, a dessert AND one alcoholic beverage and it was $73. Very impressed. DEFINITELY will be coming back and bringing our friends!
