Greek cuisine has absorbed influences from various empires and cultures. It is so good because of the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients like ripe tomatoes, herbs, and creamy feta cheese. From cooking to salad dressings, Greek olive oil made from lemon, basil, and oregano is their liquid gold. Located on a busy Boulevard in the heart of Hasbrouck Heights, I finally got the opportunity to stop in at this BYOB family-owned/operated establishment. Upon entering for lunch after 4 years, Sofia's Mediterranean Grill, named after the owner’s mom, I was greeted by the staff. I got a booth, immediately knowing how they get crowded. Sofia’s is an amazing place. The friendly owners & staff and the excellent food has been my go-to when landing at Teterboro. They have become like family to me. I enjoyed some of their awesome food on the plane this evening.

Love this place! Food tastes fresh, along with great flavored dishes, and their pikilia along with pita is magnificent. Have to try their halloumi, soo yummy.

Tony and the team at Sofia's really makes the place work so well. The food is delicious and fresh. We tried all the appetizers in their menu, love the grilled feta, all the dips, and the grilled octopus, eggplants. We also love their lambs from oven menu. At noon in the summer, it is very pleasant to sit inside near the door, not hot at all, with breeze and fresh food. Their vegetables are fresh. And desert, i love the milk pudding on their list. The way they arrange space helps you to have some privacy and at the same time the outdoor area can fit a big group (we tried with our 10 family members and the meals went smooth and nice). Thank you for making good food and delicious dessert.

Our party of 5 ate outside in the patio area. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Would definitely return to this restaurant.
