Sodak Natural Foods (Prairie to Plate)

Amazing pit stop for local farm fresh eats overlooking the beautiful countryside! All the meat comes from a farm down the street and the sides are fresh and homemade. Everything we ordered was delicious and the owner was so nice! The covered area offered a nice shady spot to eat and our dog was welcome. There was a porter potty for a bathroom but they’re building a restroom add on. They also have a coffee stand next door so you can grab a pick me up or dessert on your way out.

After driving over 1000 miles on interstate 90 this was the best lunch I had in the middle of South Dakota. Strongly recommend stopping here. The owner is extremely nice and the food is delicious and fresh.

Tasty and fresh home cooked food, and all gluten free!!! Extremely friendly and passionate owner. He felt that the portion of the beef on our platter wasn’t enough, so he gave us a free lamb stuffed pepper! Hopefully for the growth and development of this spot in the future!

We had a great lunch. It was much more memorable than stopping at a chain. We ordered 4 kids meals and 1 adult meal for 6 people and had too much food to finish. Each meal comes with some rice under the meat so we had different sides than just rice. Our favorites were coleslaw and cowboy beans. The baked potatoes came with sour cream and butter on the side. The Porta-potty was clean and had a well next to it for water to wash off.

What a great, new, fun place to stop on a trip across South Dakota. Got to talk with the owner who raised the meat we enjoyed. The beef and chicken were wonderful, and the cowboy beans were as good as all the other reviews said. Hope they make a go of this.
