After discovering this gem on Google Maps, I had been meaning to visit for several weeks and I’m truly delighted that I finally did. The experience exceeded all expectations. The food is nothing short of exceptional delicious, beautifully prepared, and remarkably authentic, rivaling dishes I’ve had in Japan. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between casual and inviting, and the staff are genuinely kind and attentive. Their menu is impressively extensive almost overwhelming at first but given the outstanding quality of the dishes I tried, I look forward to exploring it fully. The soba noodles paired with shrimp tempura rice were outstanding transporting me straight to Tokyo with each bite. The yuzu chicken, in particular, was unforgettable; tender, flavorful, and enhanced by the br

I absolutely loved this soba restaurant! It felt like stepping into a little piece of Japan. The ambiance was incredible, and the servers wearing kimonos added to the authentic feel. The food quality was outstanding—everything was delicious, from the soba and udon to the tempura and appetizers. I particularly enjoyed how flavorful each dish was. I'd come back here 200% and would say this is the most authentic and delicious soba spot in OC.

The restaurant is very clean and well-run. The soba noodles are made in-house. They have both warm and cold soba. They have udon noodles, too, but these aren't made in-house. You can choose the amount of noodles (1-3) and there is no charge for choosing the larger portion. The staff here are friendly. The draft beer is usually good. The atmosphere feels very Japanese.

This place feels very authentic to me. soba nice and chewy and the tsuyu was good. I liked soba better than the cold udon. the udon was very soft and my immediate thought was it was overcooked or something, but later I found that hakata udon (as it was called in menu) originate from Fukuoka and it is known to be soft. It is variants like sanuki udon that are harder and chewy. So today I learned to be careful udon on its own is actually too general of a term and has huge variety across different cultures within Japan.

Excellent soup! The broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles are perfectly cooked, and the tempura is fresh and crispy. Everything was well presented and very satisfying. I’ll definitely come back again.
